A revolution in forecast and demand planning

Ogentech is specializing in the creation, management and optimization of forecasting business solutions. Among Ogentech's offerings are complete solutions, modeling, simulation, realization, ROI analysis, and project management for companies employing SAP-APO™, Manugistics™, Retalix SCM™ and other optimization and management applications.

Ogentech provides a clear methodology, scorecards, and software tools designed to build and maintain optimization business applications at a high-performance level, thus ensuring the achievement of the business goals behind the projects. The unique experience and offerings allow Ogentech to cooperate with both leading integrators and multi-national corporations.

ForecastPlanner is a highly advanced automatic forecasting, inventory & business analysis optimizer and full-cycle demand planning solution, providing the uppermost attainable accuracy.

The cloud-based SaaS solution utilizes any available information, including multiple data sources, hierarchies, product life cycle, noisy and promotional data sets to create ‘best of breed’ forecasts.

Our turnkey solution provides immediate results, quick return on investment and low cost of ownership. Easy integration, minimal manual intervention and no need for software installation or maintenance. It can also be deployed to optimize the settings of demand planning systems like SAP, APO.

No need for data replication to another system, which results in a reduced interface complexity and maintenance need.

The hybrid engine continuously optimizes models, hierarchies, policies, algorithms and parameters according to the user’s specified business objectives. The solution is fully scalable and is customized precisely to the user's needs.

For attaining the most accurate forecast results, our smart algorithm finds the best data model and combines all relevant hierarchies, price elasticity, promotions, events, life cycle management, cannibalization, sentiments, and revenues. Each target horizon, resolution and combination level can be forecasted separately using differing cleansing methods, algorithms or parameters.

The frequent exceptions detection, error calculation methodology and re-optimization of the paradigm, ensures maintaining accuracy optimization and sustained bottom line results.

We developed an innovative noise reduction methodology for different scenarios, revealing the exact item and price elasticity to create profitable promotion forecasting even when the past information is sparse.

Events are automatically filtered out, forecasted separately and recombined with the baseline data at the appropriate places.

Demand data can be specified in multiple granularity levels as well as multiple time resolutions.

ForecastPlanner interacts with the planners and analysts knowledge to create a detailed business overview, which is presented in customized and user-friendly Power BI reports.

Those valuable business insights have a great impact on marketing, management and supply chain related operations as they provide an complete business overview.

Business Intelligence

ForecastPlanner™ is designed to serve as both:

I. as an Affix service operated by other applications (MRP)

II. as an independent forecasting solution.

The exceptional forecasting quality and process automation are based on the innovative optimization infrastructure such as the smart optimization solution which is designed to find and combine the best data model, time base, parameters and algorithmic combination that will lead to the optimal,

consistent and best results over time. According to specified business

objectives, ForecastPlanner™ computes the right time and hierarchy based aggregation and disaggregation, methods of outlier correction and filtering as well as algorithmic methods.

Furthermore, the valuable business insights analysis allows a highly advanced promotion and exception planning that will greatly increase your revenue. Our solution attempts to deliver highly improved result while breaking the complexity of the forecasting process. Thus, allowing the users to focus on the truly important issues which require human attention.

The target users include budget and revenue planners, HR planners, CRM, SCM/SCE, traders, demand planners, and financial forecasters.

Valuable BI insights will take your business to the next level and allow you to concentrate on the crucial aspects. Plan effective promotions, attain full control over all significant business operations and enhance the planner's productivity by facilitating their work with customized, user-friendly BI reports.

Our ElasticityProfile® reveals precisely which price level generates the largest sales for the lowest price.

Business insights are of great valuable for the marketing strategy as is allows planning highly profitable promotions.

Our price cluster technology calculates the elasticity of the price and provides valuable details about +++++

Item Elasticity Profile

Our Power BI report allows an improved situation assessment as it provides managers with a product-performance and an user-activity overview. Resulting in full control over items, item groups, planner’s productivity or special price deals with suppliers. Deviations of item performances regarding location, time and price elasticity can be easily reviewed at one glance. A detailed business overview enables swift adjustments and improves the control over each measurable aspects of the whole demand planning process.

The BI insights can furthermore support the relationships with suppliers as they initialize better negotiating terms regarding

long-term contracts.

Clear Sales Overview

The BI report submits an Ideal inventory maintenance level, resulting in significantly fewer stock outs and accordingly a reduced penalty rate of lost sales. Further, the Inventory Carrying Cost (ICC) can be greatly lowered, as the BI report recommendations prevent overstocking.

Our user-friendly one screen BI report contains customer specific information and exception alerts which are tailored to the client's demands and ensure the utmost effectiveness.

All items are classified to assorted to reveal which items require human attention. Thanks to the dependable forecast quality of ForecastPlanner, planners are relieved to focus on important concerns such as items that have been identified by the system as exceptional.

Lower Out Of Stock Rate

The deployment of ForecastPlanner can improve the forecast accuracy by at least 20%. An improvement of accuracy puts budget planning on firm grounds, creates better planning processes leading to Just In Time (JIT) type model, improves manufacturing and, in turn, procurement of raw material. Forecastplanner detects weaknesses and pinpoints the places where decisions need to be made such as investing in marketing and cutting product lines. That allows you to fulfill the demand generated by clients of the unit without being dependent on the supplier of the unit. Improvement in forecast accuracy means that a lower stock is required to maintain the same service level, which reduces the Inventory Carrying Cost (ICC). It also means a lower stockout rate, which reduces the penalty of lost sales.

Business Forecasting

An important field in forecasting is business forecasting whereby future economic and business scenarios are analysed. Business forecasting is a combination of judgmental, casual and time series forecasting methods. Risk and uncertainty are central to business forecasting and are accompanying forecasting as tools for evaluating the probability of future scenarios and for decision making in inventory planning, capacity expansion, investments and risk analysis. Business forecasting is used in finance, budget planning, CRM, HR, risk analysis, Supply Chain Management and Execution (SCM/SCE).

Standard forecasting tools only provide the core algorithmic capabilities. It is expected from the users to understand and explore the solutions by themselves which results in a naïve operation of the forecasting tools and sub-optimal results.

Demand Planning

The discipline of Demand Planning embraces statistical forecasting, promotional management, lifecycle adjustments and consensus processes. In demand planning, the risk and uncertainties are used inside economical models to drive inventory planning and purchasing. Worldwide, over 38% of producers complain that one of their main problems is inaccurate demand planning. Poor planning has a negative effect on the ability to deliver, on inventory management, on purchasing, and on capacity utilization.

Today, only the largest corporations develop a DP practice involving finance, marketing, and supply chain. In too many companies, even those that officially are using an advance DP system, Excel™ is still the main planning tool; either due to technical problems with the DP system or due to the limited planner knowledge and expertise in the DP technology.
